The Nord 1002 Pingouin was a French built, re-engined version of the Bf-108 Taifun. Note this 'Nord' manufacturer is not to be confused with the Nord company that produced the, for example, N.262.

This Spitfire has quite a history. Built in 1945 as a single-seat Mk.9e, converted to a two-seater in 1946 and flew with the Irish Air Corps. Appeared in the Battle of Britain movie and was re-converted to a single seater in the '70s.
