110th TFS/131st TFW/Missouri ANG. Coronet Mallard was part of the larger annual "Dawn Patrol" exercise, and marked the last F-100 deployment to Europe.
23rd TFS/52nd TFW. One of the seven Phantoms of the unit arriving that day. All had extra aerials on the wings and fin tips as shown in this image. This a/c crashed 9 months later.
614th TFS/401st TFW. When equipped with F-4Cs (until fall '78) all the TJ coded Phantoms wore black/white checkered tails. After the change to the D model the tail codes became plain yellow, red and blue. This one was one of the few exceptions.
355th TFS/354th TFW. One of the 8 A-10s of this unit deployed to Villafranca under "Coronet rodeo", taking off for a training sortie. This particular aircraft was badly damaged when it veered off the runway on landing at Aviano on September 24, 1981.
