With almost no rain in the last few weeks this area is like a desert. Upon touchdown I had to take cover to protect myself and my equipment for the small fine sand storm created by the downwash.

On June 30th 2022 313 squadron welcomed their first 4 F-35's at their home base Volkel. Only a few days later the first operational local mission was flown with F-025 and this example, on TDY from Leeuwarden.
