The Spitfire XII was the first production Griffon Spitfire, not the XIV.

She's in RAF South-East Asia Command markings.

I shoud wrote: "The first Griffon-powered Spitfire suffered from poor high altitude performance due to having only a single stage supercharged engine", but you're right first was Mk. XII
