Converted to a "J" model in 12/72. Used to fly with VC-8 "Red Tails". VC-8 was the last US Navy Sqdn. to fly the A-4. It was based at Naval Station Roosvelt Roads until May 2003 when the squadron was de-activated and the base closed.
