Hello

I have been a member of this site for many years and have noticed over the last six months or more that you are no longer screening my photos. I have 23 in the queue and they have been there for a very long time with no movement. Have I done something wrong? Have I offended someone? Are my photos no longer good enough for this site? What is the problem? I would like to know so that I can improve and start to submit photos on here again, or if there is nothing that can be done, so that I can quit worrying about it and move on. Thank you for your help.

I will go through your photos and approve what I can. The delay is mainly because there hasn't been learning, even with detailed reasons in the rejection emails. When a photo is rejected, you upload 3 more with the exact same issues. Also, a few months ago you uploaded a picture of an F-35 that had so much heat haze it looked like a watercolor painting. That kind of photo should never be uploaded to begin with. It's not only insulting to the screeners but to all the photographers on the site as well. That was a big turn off for the screeners. Everyone here does this voluntarily and you have to respect their time.

Sorry to be blunt, but that's the way I see it.

I have 17 inactive photos awaiting screening, 7 of which date back to last year. I know that they are all there for the reason that they are 'marginal' for quality, clutter, or format reasons and require extra screening. This evening I am going to review them and delete many of them because it isn't right to expect extra screener time to consider them when I know that they ain't my best. I have noticed that good quality photos are usually accepted within 24 hours, often less, which is excellent

On a slight tangent, I uploaded a lot of photos in 1024 pixel format in the early days of Airfighters and over the last couple of years I have re-scanned many hundreds of them to 1500 pixel format. The screening of these re-scans has always been very swift and only one has been rejected so a big thank you to Ray and the screeners

Thank you for the response. I appreciate your candor. I apologize that you feel like I have wasted your time with some of my submissions. That was not my intention at all. I will try to do better in the future.

What the actual hell? Now you are saying that you will not take any more submissions from me? What did I do to deserve that? I've been a good and faithful member of this community for many years, have submitted and accepted over 1,000 good photos, and try to learn and grow from my mistakes. What more can you ask for? This is not fair, nor is it right.

Well, maybe you should pay attention to what Ray says then! I also have too little contrast in some pictures, I think the picture is good like that, but then I tweak the contrast and it looks better. Well then Uncle Ray was right .
It's best to edit and repost all of them again. Whining publicly here is of little use either

Dear Administrators,

Your Excellencies, I'm passionate in learning about Aviation Photography, especially on how to screen good photos. 6 years since I learned about Aviation Photography, I would like to apply for a screener position with your consent.

Best Regards,
Raihan "Romanovskies" Aulia.

Dear Raihan,

Before becoming a screener, you have to have several hundred photos accepted to the database. You can learn a lot from those photos getting screened and we can learn about you as well. I will certainly let you know when we have an opening for another screener. Thank you very much for your interest.

No, it does not. Normal screening time is 3-7 days. However, sometimes photos do get delayed due to missing data, etc. but that's rare.
