As I'm young, just 18 years old, I've to learn a lot about photography. I recently uploaded a photo of an Apache's gun. This one is rejected because of "Motive". I wondered why because I don't see the real difference between my photo and this one.

Can anyone explain why my photo is not OK?

Thanks in advance.

The A-10 gun shots really started off as a nose-shot, and slowly got more focused on the gun. We are trying to avoid really 'detailed' photos, as people tend to come to the site to see the full aircraft, or most of the aircraft if it's a nose-shot for example. Otherwise, before you know it, we will have tons of wheel, gun, antenna, drop-tanks, etc. kind of shots which are more of a "walkarounds" type of photos.

Joan,

I can only echo what Ray has said above, you uploaded several detailed shots of various parts of aircraft that were all rejected for the same motive reason, as Ray has said above, we are collectively trying to steer away from accepting these kind of close in detailed shots on Airfighters, those kind of shot are more at home on modelling forums where detailed images are exactly what is required by the modellers, we have rejected many detailed shots in the past, some have got through, we accept that, but in future most detailed images like the ones you have posted above will not be accepted here on Airfighters.

Sorry about that, but that is the guideline we are going to try and stick to.

Regards

John

OK, thanks for both answers. This is clear to me, so I will prevent such shots in future.

Kind regards,

Joan
