It has been an amazing 2011 for Airfighters. As we do every year, we added some new features, increased monthly viewership and increased the size of the database. Over 25,000 photos were added to the database for an average of 69 photos per day, and a few articles and aircraft profiles thrown in as well. We now get somewhere between 800,0000 to 1,000,000 page views per month. Not bad in my opinion! It all comes down to our awesome photographers and viewers. Without you, it would not be possible.
Thank You! Photographers, thank you for uploading the great photos! We know it takes time and effort to get a photo processed for uploading and eventual screening. Believe me when I say we make every effort possible to accept a photo, but unfortunately, it doesn't always work out. Please do not take it personally. Keep trying and don't give up! To our viewers thanks for taking the time to view all the photos and leaving comments. To all those who participated in the Forum and shared a photo or two, thank you as well. We appreciate it all. And a big thank you to all the screeners and other crew for helping run the site and make things as tidy as possible. For 2012 I'm looking forward to seeing more of your great photos uploaded and growing the site even more. I'm also looking at introducing some new features as well. They will be announced when ready for release. If you have any ideas, please let us know what you're thinking of. I wish you all a very Happy 2012 filled filled with great photos, great health and prosperity! Stay safe in whatever your plans are for tonight. -Ray |

Have to echo a big "Thank You" to the Screeners, you must put in a lot of time and effort and it is much appreciated. Also to the poor Database Editor who has to bring chaos to order and probably runs screaming every time my name pops up :wink
A very happy 2012 to Ray, am still delighted that you had the foresight to start this excellent site a few years ago now, I hope it continues to go from strength to strength under your calm guidance. Most of all, Happy New Year to my fellow photographers! Michael Appears to be thinking... |
