Payerne is the main air base of Switzerland and as you can see on AF, there are a lot of pictures possible.
Some of my favorites are those here - a very healthy mix of local and international visitors:
Two of the three squadrons on Hornet are regularly flying out of here and if you want to catch those special shemes, then Payerne is the base to go
So - those where very intriguing pictures of all what is possible, but how about a 'normal' day ? Last week i was there for an afternoon, and I've mixed my footage with some Simulator-/HUD- and Debriefing-Shots for a nice Storybook ... I hope you enjoy and will visit Payerne soon ! The WTT-Simulator (Weapons Tactics Trainer) was in use 'till 2009. Now there are four SHOT's installed, my footage of those much more actual Simulaters comes then in another film someday. Muuuuhhh - welcome in the land of milk and chocolate |

In the old days Payerne was THE place to be for some action.
In the 1990’s it was quite often at this Air Base Today you can see some Hornet, Tigers and maybe some other interesting aircraft
In the old days we had our mystique Mirages…..and some special guests as well
But Payerne is still worth to go for a visit! Greets Martin I wish back the good old times, when a picture was a picture and not only bits and bytes and when the people knew the meaning of the word respect. Respect is a very rare thing in our days… |
