Since a while there is a person or maybe some people that dislike any picture that I get accepted to the database by rating it poor.
They can hide in anonymity because their name won't show after they have rated your picture.
I would like to have the option added to the database where you can see who rated your picture and that no rating can be made without a proper argument why the person thinks why the picture deserves a certain rating or have the rating option fully removed and leave it to the editors to rate the pictures because I get tired by people who cannot apreciate the fact that I upload pictures.

I think you are not the only one with this 'problem'. It's a fact that some people, maybe 'cause they have problems in their work life, dislike any other person who had proved to do better. In some forums it's made via Renommee-Function and in other with Rating options. I suggest that you ignore those ...[insert any word here you can think of]... and post some more of your fabulous pictures.

It's really not the worth to worry about such people, I hope this thread will not grow too much with flaming Postings. The best thing to do is to ignore them. Below I've inserted a picture who produced a lot of trouble with our Air Force. I had the OK of the responsible person to go to the 'other side', the old KP with the sun in the back, for 2 Persons. In the morning I went up to the place and after calling, received permission to stay with one more to the old KP (Total persons now there: 3). We made very nice pictures, cautiously avoiding the places not aloud to stay (staying in the shooting zone).
But in the evening, a lot of people we know made some very bad comments to and about us. They where not happy that they had not the possibility to go there. So - what they did ? In the next morning there where around 20 persons there without proper clarification and I had never again the possibility to go there because of that.

I concur with the above statements wholeheartedly.

I would not put any weight into a single user rating. Yes there are kids on the site and if kids want to play, they will end up playing with themselves. It's best that we don't participate.

Hi All,
Just to let you know I'm getting rid of the current voting/rating system. It is too anonymous and can lead to negative voting by other photographers for one reason or another, also, it can go the other way with people trying to vote up their own photos just so they can appear in the Top Rated Photos section. I've even caught people registering multiple accounts just to vote on their own photos and push up the ratings.

It will be replaced with a much better system in the next few days. Stay tuned.

Hi. Well i'am glad your changing it I used to feel really bad when I added a photo to one of my albums only to find someone had voted it very poor, when i added a 4.5 or 5 star vote it still didn't bring it up very far,and i always hoped the photographer didn't think it was me. Thanks Mike........
