I just got off work and heard about the operation "odyssey dawn." French fighters have led the attacks while American and British ships launched 110 Tomahawk cruise missiles against radar and AA sites. How long will the no fly zone have to be in place? Will there be many strikes against Qaddafi's forces? I was a jet eng. mech at RAF Lakenheath during eldorado canyon so its interesting. Conflict should never be taken lightly, but I think the right decision was made.

Indeed, Operation Odyssey Dawn is on and the initial attack has already begun. More than 110 Tomahawk cruise missiles have been fired with French fighters hitting tanks and other military vehicles. I also feel this is the right move, but I hope that it doesn't become another "Iraq" for the US. I'm glad to see other nations taking the lead and would really like to see the Saudis and UAE enforcing the No Fly Zone. They've been calling for it and I think it's time they did something about it rather than us always taking on the responsibility.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of the photos being uploaded, and for most of the jets it will probably be their first time in combat.

Pilot ejected, and survive safely. This aircraft was a MiG, not a Mirage?

Lets Fly! :)

I hope so. Now the EU can demonstrate the Union's airpower with the Rafale first in combat and other various types as the Super Etendard, the good old Tornados, and so on in our important Nort-African zone. I hope the EUFOR and the NATO will help to the Rebels with any form of air or ground strikes to get rid of Kadhafi. I glad to see US Air and Naval Corps in the Coalition's Forces. I hope UAE and Saudi AF and the Emirates join us.

I would like a sepcial event report on the site about Odyssey Dawn as the US NAVY Centennial Kick Off Event. What's your opinion, Ray?

Lets Fly! :)

Best Regards,

Péter

Yes, this is a MiG-23 indeed. If anyone have a shot about the attacker aircrafts with bomb-rocket load when they take off or etc. please upload photos in the database.

Lets Fly! :)

Péter
