Photo ID 8667 by Michael Baldock. USA Navy McDonnell Douglas TA 4J Skyhawk, 158519
Two-place carrier-borne jet trainer

The TA-4J is a dedicated trainer version of the single-seat A-4 light attack aircraft. Replacing the TF-9J Cougar, the TA-4J served for decades until it's final replacement by the T-45A Goshawk in 2003. While not the exact TA-4J model of the U.S. Navy, twin-stick A-4's are currently in service with the Marinha do Brasil and the Israeli Air and Space Force (IASF) in their original capacities as trainers.
