This EB-47E serial 53-2135 has been on display for many years now. The EB-47E variant is believed to have featured a bomb bay capsule containing two EWO's and a variety of ECM equipment and this aircraft appears to have a modified bomb bay.
A closer view of EB-47E serial 53-2135's nose. The 376th BW was based at Lockbourne AFB, OH, and had the B-47 fleet been committed to combat would have confused and disrupted the enemy defensive capability.
This plane was initially built as a B-47E, but was later converted to EB-47E standard fitted with special electronic equipment. It went to AMARG on Dec 8th, 1964. It is now on display at the Pima Air and Space Museum.
