This Jug is now displayed inside the USAF Armament Museum at VPS. She is painted in the colours of 44-88129 'Expected Goose', a 463 FS/507 FG aircraft stationed at Shima Island near Okinawa. She looks good to me!!
photographed during the FHC 'Luftwaffe Day' and was the first time since WWII that a Fw-190 and a Bf-109 have flown together. It was a wonderful day for an aviation fan like me and will be remembered for a long time.
The Nord 1002 Pingouin was a French built, re-engined version of the Bf-108 Taifun. Note this 'Nord' manufacturer is not to be confused with the Nord company that produced the, for example, N.262.
This prop was recovered from the sea off St. Bees in 1995 and obtained by the Solway Aviation Museum. This Lancaster flew six combat missions in 1943 before being transferred to training duties. It was on such a flight when it crashed into the Irish Sea.
This example is now stored with the PCN/Inventory No. AATE0128 and was retired to AMARG during Sept. 96 after serving with the 47th Flying Training Wing based at Laughlin AFB, TX
Photographed during its flying display for the Dubai Air Show 2009. I'm still incredulous that so much moisture can be forced out of the desert air. I can assure all, it felt pretty dry at ground level!
Remnants of the engine and a wheel from this ill-fated Huson. Crashed in the Scottish Highlands on 15th April 1941 after crew flew too low on a very dark, stormy night. Photographed by my friend Vladimira Moulisova and added with her permission.
