A3930 is the second R.E.8 built by TVAL in Wellington, New Zealand. The 'Harry Tate' is finished in the colours of IX Squadron, RFC, as flown in the winter of 1917. The aircraft will join the collection of the RAF Museum, Hendon.

XH558's captain, F/L Martin Withers, DFC, manoeuvring the Mighty Vulcan through the Duxford skies. It is feared, the 2013 display season may be the last for this famous aircraft.

N5182 served with 3 and 8 (Naval) Sq. from bases in Northern France during 1917/18. Remains were recovered from France in 1960 and the restored Pup returned to the air as G-APUP in 1973 in the hands of the late Neil Williams. N5182 came to Hendon in 1984

HAC's Hurricane XII in a gentle curved approach to the grass runway at Duxford. G-HURI represents Hurricane IIb Z5140 as flown by 126 Squadron in the siege of Malta. Z5140 arrived in Malta in June 1941, having flown off HMS Ark Royal.

TFC P-47G is in the colours of P-47D 42-74742 based at Duxford in late '44. 'Snafu/War Eagle' of the 84th FS, 78th FG, was damaged beyond repair in a landing accident at Duxford on 15th December, 1944. 'VX' is flown here by Pete Kynsey, TFC's chief pilot.

XL762 was built by Saunders Roe at Eastleigh and delivered to the AAC in September 1958. In the late sixties the Skeeter was in use for ground instruction (with serial 8017M) at Middle Wallop and came to East Fortune in 1975.

VX185, 'The Record Breaking Canberra', the only prototype of the B.5 target marking/blind bombing version. The record flight, a double Atlantic crossing, from Aldergrove to Gander and back, was made on 26th August 1952, with 'Bee' Beamont at the controls.

Around 35 of the 508 Bolingbroke IV.T's built by Fairchild Aircraft at Longueuil, Quebec, Canada, survive, including RCAF 9940, currently under restoration at East Fortune. The Bolingbroke was bought from the Strathallan Collection in 1981.

John Romain about to land P9374 on the 24 grass runway. Propeller is in fine pitch, radiator door open, flaps down. The Spitfire Ia flares at 75 mph and seconds later settles gently on the Duxford turf.

P9374 is painted as it was on May 24th, 1940, the day it crash landed near Calais. The codeletters 'GR' of 92 Squadron had been removed shortly before, pending a diplomatic escort flight to France. The Spitfire is flown here by John Romain.

After dismantling at RAF Kinloss in early February 2011, XV241's forward fuselage section arrived at the Museum of Flight at East Fortune on 10th February 2011. It is seen here on display in Hangar 2.

This Gnat T.1 is actually XR541. The aircraft was withdrawn from use after ending up in the arrester barrier at RAF Mona on 7th February, 1978, when the brakes failed during landing. XR541/'PF179' came to Bruntingthorpe in 2010.

ZD610 with 801 Squadron code 'N-714' on this side and 'N-002' on the starboard side. The Sea Harrier had been on display at Dunsfold Park since October 2005 and arrived at Bruntingthorpe on 2nd May 2012.

Fitted with an O-320-A2B engine, this former French ALAT Cub 182540 is essentially a PA-18-150. The aircraft represents KLu Cub 'R-170'. The 'real' R-170, registered PH-WAS, was destroyed in a hangar fire at Seppe on 5th May 1982.

PH-UCS is in the colours of L-4J R-345, in service with the ML-KNIL in 1947. The aircraft was handed over to the Indonesian AURIS, in March 1950. PH-UCS was one of around 20 Cubs taking part in the 2012 Piper Cub Fly-In at Texel Airport.

The Boultbee Spit with pilot Matt Jones and 'navigator' Willy Hackett fuel stopping at Texel enroute to Kjevik, Norway. Code 'KJ-I' is of 4 Squadron, SAAF, and represents Spitfire V ES127 which was converted in the field into a 2-seater for 261 Squadron.

XL565 in her former 208 Squadron markings as operated by this unit from RAF Khormaksar, Aden, in the early sixties. XL565 later served with the FRADU and the Institute of Aviation Medicine at Farnborough.
