Lightnings were quite regular visitors at Leeuwarden during the late eighties. They participated in exercises and I also remember a squadron rotation.

The Dutch NF-5s were painted grey in their haydays. Note the droptanks are still in the old "cold war" colours. This was the normal colour scheme in the 1970s and early 80s.

92 Sqn. was still very alive at the end of the cold war. The unit was disbanded in 1991. Their Phantoms were more or less regular visitors at Leeuwarden.
