Bulldog T.1 XX529 marked as 6FTS 'W'. Would have been based at Finningley. Photo taken at the 1995 Mildenhall Air Fete. Went onto the civilian register as G-BZOJ.
Another memory from the 1995 Mildenhall Air Fete, not much colour here! Hawk T.1A XX317 operated by 208 (R) Sqn out of RAF Valley. Good to see her displayed with missiles.
An interesting pairing at the ATC Lasham Open Day on the 11th July; Jet Provost T.3A XM479 (G-BVEZ) and Boeing 757-28A C-GTSN 'City of Montreal' in the colours of the now defunct Zoom Airlines which ceased trading in August 2008.
A lucky shot which managed to get two 'BUFFs' in the viewfinder, this was B-52H 61-0029 positioning for an impressive take off at the end of the 2009 RIAT.
I am convinced that there is a department at Lockheed whose sole purpose is to add as many lumps and bumps to the Hercules as possible! This HC-130P was operated by the 67th SOS / 352nd SOG, waiting to leave Fairford at the end of the 2009 RIAT.
I liked this perspective of this Globemaster III as she trundled out to the piano keys on the RIAT Departures Day. Good to see a West Coast based example from Travis AFB.
On display at the MCAS Beaufort main gate, this F/A-18A Hornet looked immaculate surrounded by trees and shrubs. She is marked as "VE-200" of VMFA-115 "Silver Eagles", a squadron resident at Beaufort.
On display at the MCAS Beaufort main gate, this F-4N Phantom Bu.No 152270 looked immaculate surrounded by trees and carefully tended grounds. She is marked as "DW-201" of VMFA-251 "Thunderbolts".
A bright and colourful addition to the 2004 MCAS Beaufort Airshow static, this Bell TH-57C SeaRanger was operated by TAW-5 based at NAS Whiting Field in Florida.
On display in the static at the 2004 MCAS Beaufort Airshow, this is the McDonnell Douglas/Northrop mast mounted sight which forms a major part of the OH-58D's increased capabilities.
Taken inside the main cabin of the MV-22B which was on display at the 2004 MCAS Beaufort Airshow. The tilt-rotor aircraft was so popular that a full cabin photo was impossible however I did manage to catch the port side wall looking forwards.
