A2-296 was delivered to the RAAF in November of 1963. Served with the RAAF 5th Squadron before being transferred to the Army’s 171 Squadron, 1st Aviation Regiment. Now retired from Australian service and reportedly stored at Meeandah, Brisbane.
Here the loadmasters aboard A41-208 guide the pilots while backtracking along runway 33. Mt Mitchell can be seen in the background. Thank you to the RAAF, Camp Quality and the Starlight Foundation for their efforts for 'Fun Flight 08'.
A41-208 sits on Amberley's large apron awaiting its next mission - a joy 'taxi' up and down the runway for a bunch of kids with illnesses. Well done to Camp Quality, the Starlight Foundation and the RAAF for a great day.
This Alpha model Hornet came screaming from behind the smoke cloud after a simulated ground attack run. A great display by the four ship team. Amberley Airshow 2008. [1D2+100-400L]
The NH-90 is known as the MRH-90 by the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Here is the first MRH-90 for the Australian Army. The Army and Navy share a common pool of MRH-90s hence the camo scheme for both Navy and Army aircraft.
