„SMUGGLER“ departing RWY27 back to Praha-Kbely AB with a paratroopers of the 43.vpr. Unfortunately, two C-130H from 139th AW (Missouri ANG), intended for loading paratroopers of the 173. Airborne Brigade they could not landed due to bad weather condition.

Main RWY 09/27, taxiways and aprons were repaired between 1985-86 and after 30 years they are still in good quality. Hradcany AB was home for 192.iap (MiG-21bis) and later 236.apib (MiG-27K) of Soviet aviation of the Central Group Army in Czechoslovakia.

Very rare picture - after 27 years military aircrafts used again a former Soviet air base at Hradcany. Czech AF „SMUGGLER“ is seen during landing on RWY 09 for loading czech paratroopers of the 43. vpr (Airborne Battalion), exercise Saber Junction 2017.
