Showing off its new paint job, the MoF's B-52 sits in the sun outside Historic Flight Foundation's hanger. The B-52 will soon be trucked down (in pieces) to Boeing Field, where it will be the centerpiece of a Vietnam Memorial.
Although built too late to serve in the war itself, this P-47 is painted up to represent the mount of a local Seattle-area pilot that did see combat in WWII. Seen landing after participating in the European Theater Free Fly Day.
Currently owned and operated by the Heritage Flight Museum in Burlington, WA, and based at the Skagit Regional Airport. Aircraft is painted in USAF markings as used in Vietnam.
