My final photo of F-94A 49-2517 at Burlington IAP VT. Only 110 F-94A models were built, the F-94C (correctly the 'Starfire' it seems) was the most prolific of the type. The F-94B did serve in Korea and fought against 'Bedcheck Charlie' with mixed results.

The F-94A was essentially a T-33 with new nose, tail, and afterburner. The F-94A had an afterburning J-33-A-33 engine and the Hughes E-1 Fire Control System, APG-33 radar and A-1 gunsight. She had four .50 calibre guns. Rushed into service in just 1 year.

This rare old F-94A Starfire on display at Burlington was a very pleasant surprise indeed. She is Lockheed F-94A-5-LO serial 49-2517 painted as operated by the 134th FIS / 158th FIG Vermont ANG out of Burlington MAP (some references say Ethan Allen AFB).
