This is actually the '44-85718'. Currently painted as '42-38050' and named 'Thunderbird'. It is operated by the Lone Star Flight Museum and was seen here performing at the 2006 Lackland AFB airshow.

This plane is preserved near the main entrance of Lackland AFB. Aircraft has been painted in a non standard paint scheme for the 4th TFS that is from Hill AFB. The gear doors were cut around the landing gear so they could be closed with the gear down.
