The production of this plane was finished by the end of 1943 and was soon delivered to the USAAF but was rapidly removed from service. Eventually the plane was donated to the CAF where it was restored to the condition as it was in 1944.

Since 1966, this Twin Mustang is owned by the CAF, which restored it back to flying conditions. In October 1987 it was damaged when the gear collapsed during landing. It has not flown ever since.

A Grumman Wildcat seen at the 2007 Midland airport airshow. This plane was built for the US Navy as '86819'. Was converted to sprayer and crashed in the 1950's. Since 1986, this plane is owned by the CAF and today it is painted in RAF markings.

This Avenger was built in early 1945 as a TBM-3E and configured in the anti-submarine role. After her military career ended in 1958, the plane was an aerial applicator spraying insecticides. In 1971 the plane was acquired by the CAF.

Of aprox. 7200 Helldivers being built, this is the only remaining airworthy example worldwide. It served with the US Navy from 1945-1948. The plane was badly damaged due to an engine failure, but was repaired again to airworthy conditions.

This aircraft was built against an RAF order as a Liberator Mk.1, but was damaged in Canada on delivery in 1941. Local serial number allocated was AM927. Today, "Ol 927" is owned by the Commemorative Air Force and is the oldest of all airworthy B-24's.

Worldwide there are only two SBD-5's still airworthy. One of them (ex 42-54532) is seen here at the 2007 airshow at Midland airport. This aircraft was initially delivered to the Mexican AF and eventually found its way back to the US.

This SNJ-5 was initially built as an AT-6D (41-34540) but was delivered to the US Navy with BuNo 43779. Seen here performing at the 2007 Midland airport airshow.

This Spitfire has quite a history. Built in 1945 as a single-seat Mk.9e, converted to a two-seater in 1946 and flew with the Irish Air Corps. Appeared in the Battle of Britain movie and was re-converted to a single seater in the '70s.

This North American P-64 is in fact a replica from a US Navy SNJ-4 (BuNo 51363). Only 13 P-64's were built since 1940 and were in service with the USAAF and the air force of Peru.
