No computer animated camera used for this shot. They were not yet invented in 1990. I had to use the ole Mk I eyeball to focus the camera, mounted on a tripod, tripping the shutter via a cable release and computing f stop & shutter speed via calculator.

This plane is preserved near the main entrance of Lackland AFB. Aircraft has been painted in a non standard paint scheme for the 4th TFS that is from Hill AFB. The gear doors were cut around the landing gear so they could be closed with the gear down.
