performing a fly-by at the Holloman Air&Space Expo. Less than a year later the changeover at Holloman took place and the F-22 Raptor replaced the famous F-117 Stealth Fighter at this airbase.
On display at the War Eagles Museum in Santa Teresa NM, a classic from the Grumman 'Ironworks'. She is a TBM-3E version of the classic Avenger. This was the only complete photo that I could manage to take, was from a conveniently located balcony!
An unusual sight at the War Eagles Museum in Santa Teresa NM. Labelled as a Fieseler Fi-156 Storch, she is in fact an MS-502 Criquet marked as 'BM-JM'. She is listed by the museum as still flyable.
This beautiful P-40E Warhawk was on display at the War Eagles Air Museum at Santa Teresa NM. Nice tail art! She has been restored as Skip Tramell's 'Hold'n My Own'.
This beautiful P-40E Warhawk was on display at the War Eagles Air Museum at Santa Teresa NM. She appeared in the film Tora, Tora, Tora. She is now preserved in flyable condition but currently does not fly.
On display at the War Eagles Air Museum at Santa Teresa NM. This was a T-37B 'Tweet' coded 'EN' which I believe was operated by the 89th FTS / 80th FTW out of Sheppard AFB TX. She is preserved in flying condition.
This 'Booma' was an exexpected sight on the ramp at Deming Muni NM. She was constructed by Sanders from a mix of T-6 & Boomerang parts, T-6 wings were used to produce a correct external shape. This makes her the first Boomerang to fly since about 1946.
Thunderbirds 3 & 4 fly alongside after refueling. Just behind #3 you can see the other KC-135 that was with #5-8.
Thanks again to Team McConnel and the Thunderbirds. "2 on 3, Sir!"
