"Balls Eight" takes off on its last flight with the X-43A Hyper-X which operated an air-breathing jet engine at Mach 9.6 after launch over the Pacific.

Served the Air Force as 49-1643. Previously registered N9674C and N28RE. Recently restored in the colors of the Air Force Test Pilot School at Edwards Air Force Base in the 1950s.
