This Douglas C-47 has been the first Argentine plane to land on South Pole. Together with CTA-12 both planes did this record on January 6th, 1962. After restored at Naval Aviation Museum the plane was introduced on Naval Aviation Day Ceremony
Displayed at Naval Aviation Museum at Base Aeronaval Comandante Espora. This helicopter was in Antarctic Air Group, flew from icebreaker ARA General San Martin to bases in White Continent.
Today displayed at Naval Aviation Museum. This plane has landed several times on our first aircraft carrier ARA Independencia (Ex HMS Warrior). The plane was in service at Third Squadron of Attack.
