these B-52F Stratofortresses might have taken part in the Arc Light bombing missions in Vietnam in 1965. The type was retired to MASDC in 1978 and they were clearly showing signs of weathering when photographed nine years later.
This B-52H was in the airshow static at the 1992 Air Tournament International at Boscombe Down and was named "Renegade". She was operated by the 92nd Wing out of Fairchild AFB.
This RB-52B was only the 15th 'BUFF' produced. She dropped a 3.75 megatons Mk.15 hydrogen bomb, the first time that a B-52 had been used as a carrier and drop plane for this truly terrifying weapon.
