A former East German Mi-24P on display at the Technik Museum in Speyer, Germany. Later this helo would serve with the Luftwaffe as '96+47' and '98+34'.
Former '08' was the only NVA-LSK MiG-23S, which was used in the '80s in tests of the ATU-G/1 Flugzeugnotfanganlage (seen in the background) at Alteno air base. Artist Dr. Heiko Saxo applied this striking hi-viz camouflage in 2011.
'332' of JG-9, NVA-LSK, was damaged beyond repair on 4th November 1988, when the engine caught fire seconds prior take-off from Peenemünde. After years on display at this base, the aircraft is now here at the Luftfahrttechnisches Museum Rechlin.
after the reunification of Germany many former East German air frames found their way to the Luftwaffenmuseum at Uetersen. This MiG-21F13 is now displayed in bare metal colors at the current Gatow location of the museum.
