For the 1982 TAM Leeuwarden introduced the Frisian tail band. The The Hague General Staff disapproved this due to fear for an "flag incident" and other far-fetched reasons. By staff order the bands had to be removed (and reappeared in 1988).
The 906th FG of AFRES deployed to Europe for the 1992 Tactical Fighter Weaponry in Denmark. After 906 FG disbanded this airframe was delivered to the AMARC storage and departed to Italy afterwards. There it's being used for spares recovery.
