US Navy Boeing P-8A Poseidon (168440; cn40820/436), on final for a touch-and-go on RWY27 at Geilenkirchen Air Base, during the spottersday to celebrate "35 Years NATO E-3A Component".
One of 5 P-8A's now permanently based at NAS Whidbey Island. Whidbey is still home to many P-3's, but over the course of the next few years, we will see less and less of them in the skies above the Pacific Northwest.
What a great moment when this unexpected rare plane in Germany arrived Runway 27 and the clouds were away in the right moment. The aircraft was a special guest for the 35th anniversary of NATO E3-component.
