Star of the show for many at this Military Pageant was the immaculately restored Hawker Demon, an extremely overpowered machine that looks superb in its 64 Sqdn markings
With a series of test flights completed, Demon K8203 made its air show debut at Shuttleworth. The Demon is in her original 64 Squadron colours. K8203 was taken on charge on 27 October 1937 and based at RAF Church Fenton with this famous fighter unit.
Stuart Goldspink rounds the corner at Shuttleworth during the first public appearance of the Demon. Following an almost 18-year restoration by Skysport Engineering, Goldspink first flew the Demon on June 23, from RAF Henlow.
