The F-101A first flew in 1953 and quickly began setting records for speed, distance, and altitude. The success of the early Voodoos led to the decision to create a 2-seat all-weather interceptor version designated F-101B. This variant first flew in 1957!
The powers that be do not have the heart to put this airframe out on the range. There is talk of it going to a local VFW where it will be cleaned up and put on display.

The 161th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, Washing Air Guard. At some unknown date it was converted to TF-101B. April '88 transferred from 111 FIS in Texas to reservation at Wilmington, OH. Last seen there September 2006.
