11 Sqn's lead jet on the Southern taxiway loop at Coningsby heading for runway 25. Aircraft is a upgraded FGR4 with the infra-red sensor turret visible on the nose.
This 17 Sqn aircraft was originally a early production F2 airframe but has recently returned from BAe Warton as one of the first FGR4 upgrades. In time, all earlier airframes will go through this process.

This 17(R)Sqn Typhoon is seen preparing for its first flight post upgrade by BAE Systems at Warton. This Typhoon has been upgraded from F2 standard to FGR4 standard part of which is the fitting of FLIR which is clearly visible forward of the cockpit.
The latest IPA Typhoon IPA6 sat on runway 26 at BAE Systems Warton prior to departure on another testing sortie. This Typhoon is used to test equipment which will be installed in the Trenche 2 batch of Typhoon for the RAF.
