FX760 was with 112 Squadron at Cutello/San Angelo and Guidonia, Italy, in June, 1944, before transferring to No.3 Squadron, RAAF. FX760 and her pilot, W/O Halpin, were lost on 21 August 1944. This composite is based on RAAF Kittyhawk IV A29-556.
This Kittyhawk was manufactured in 1943 with USAAF serial '42-104827'. It later served with the Royal Australian Air Force as 'A29-414' where it was operated by 78 Squadron in New Guinea. It is now part of the Vintage Wings of Canada collection.

Another classic, this time from the Curtiss stable. She represents Kittyhawk IV (which is a P-40N) serial FX760. I never could get my head around the difference between a Warhawk, Tomahawk and a Kittyhawk!
