Back to 4th November 1989 and the monthly AMARC 'Photographer's Tour'. This is a 'from the speeding bus' into the sun shot of Douglas EA-3B Skywarrior pcn 2A 117 marked as 'PR-006' operated by VQ-1 out of Anderson AFB, Guam. She was scrapped January 2005.

This NRA-3B Skywarrior was operated by the PMTC as '71' and she was carrying some very interesting stores on her pylons. She was later bailed to Hughes (then Raytheon) as a missile test bed as N876R and so became one of the last Skywarriors flying.

This was UA-3B Skywarrior BuNo 144834 as VAQ-34 '40'. She was built as an RA-3B, converted to an NRA-3B then TNRA-3B. She went to AMARC eleven months later and was scrapped there.

An exotic Skywarrior on the VAQ-34 ramp at NAS Point Mugu on 28th October 1989, this was ERA-3B BuNo 142668 as '11'. When she retired she went on to N163TB but was later scrapped at Mojave.
The VAQ-34 'Flashbacks' mission was the provision of tactical electronic warfare training to the fleet. Their Skywarriors were retired in 1991 and VAQ-34 was disestablished in 1993.

An interesting shot from 8th October 1994, the Skywarrior, or 'Whale', appears to be TA-3B Bu.No 144860 '00' believed last operated by VQ-1 and retired January 1990. Recorded as transferred to Consolidated Aero Corp April 1997.
This EKA-3B Skywarrior Bu.No 142654 'AA-610' pcn 2A 075 was last operated by VAQ-135 Det.2 based at Whidbey Island, WA. She was retired in August 1973 and in this photo taken 19 years later is still looking quite complete. She has since been scrapped.
Back to 8th October 1994 and this was TA-3B Skywarrior Bu.No 144859 pcn 2A 122 marked as 'GD-122' last operated by VAQ-33 out of NAS Key West, FL. She entered AMARC July 1990 and has since been scrapped by HVS West.
