On display in the static at the 1989 International Air Tattoo, 'Eternal Guardian' art was worn by this B-52G operated by the 42nd Bomb Wing out of Loring AFB, ME.
A week before the official dedication of the Vietnam War Memorial, and the finishing touches have been added. The statue has been placed, the flags are flying, and the landscaping has been planted.
To the right 58-0178 coded BC0360 last operated by the 93rd BW out of Castle AFB, CA. It just looks like someone has attacked the cockpit of 58-0178 with a tin opener! Am guessing that she had some noteworthy art work!
Showing off its new paint job, the MoF's B-52 sits in the sun outside Historic Flight Foundation's hanger. The B-52 will soon be trucked down (in pieces) to Boeing Field, where it will be the centerpiece of a Vietnam Memorial.
