Back to 4th November 1989 and the monthly AMARC 'Photographer's Tour' and a view of the process-in area and more Phantoms. Pleased to have caught the 'DO' coded F-4D last operated by the 89th TFS / AFRES out of Wright-Patterson AFB. Scrapped June 1997.

614th TFS/401st TFW. When equipped with F-4Cs (until fall '78) all the TJ coded Phantoms wore black/white checkered tails. After the change to the D model the tail codes became plain yellow, red and blue. This one was one of the few exceptions.
