Although the Mirage III represented quite a challenge to maintenance and ground crews, the type soon became well-regarded by Ala 11 pilots and ground personnel. Ala 11 at Manises operated their 'Planchetas' until October 1992.

On May 2nd, 1977, Capitán Julian Sevilla Suárez aborted his take-off from Manises. C.11-7 engaged the barrier and caught fire. He escaped unhurt, but the Mirage was severely damaged. The Mirage is on display at the Cuidad de las Artes y las Ciencias.
