Originally built as a C-54D (serial 42-72525), she became a C-54Q in 1962. After years of flying as a 'bug sprayer' in Arizona, N44914 came to North Weald in September 2002 in a MATS Atlantic Division c/s. In the background is DC-4 '44-42914' (N31356).

Starting engines. Note the reflection in the puddle. A number of photographers were present, but they did not take notice of the reflection. Interesting to see two DC-4s in by the Lofteidir Hotel, where DC-4 and DC-6 operations took place in the 50s/60s
