Back to a very wet Saturday morning at the 1993 International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford. This Harrier T.4A / 'Q' was operated by RAF 20(R) Sqn out of RAF Wittering. She was later converted to T.8 standard and later went on the civil register as G-RNTB.
Back to the International Airshow '94 at Middle Wallop, this Scout AH.1 stood out for me, love the dust cloud and the line of Bedford trucks in the background. I think this was her first year with the AAC / Historic Flight.
This is the 1986 Mildenhall Air Fete and she is Phantom FGR.2 XV487 'Q' operated by RAF 29 Sqn out of RAF Coningsby. She was replaced by the new Tornado F.3 a year later. A well worn grey aircraft on a dark grey claggy day!
