B1B 86-133/DY arrives at RAF Fairford with only three engines. Number four was removed after a mid air fire somewhere out East. Note the bracing strut inplace in the engine bay..
One of the two 9th BS Bones on static display at ILA. This is one of the Ops Noble Anvil veterans. ONA was the American contribution in NATO's Operation Allied Force over Kosovo. This bomber stayed at Fairford from 8 april until 6 june 1999
A pair of Bones on static. From my favorit Lancer wing, being the 9th BS, from Dyess AFB's 7th BW. Together with 85-0074. The only thing missing here is a couple of nose arts, But the reason for that might be a recent tour over Afghanistan.
