From the looks of the heat shielding they have been trying to maintain the aircraft. At some air museums,i.e., Sacramento air museum they will let volunteers come and actually clean the aircraft by washing them with aircraft cleaner, or course while they are watching to ensure a proper cleaning.

That would be good news if she is being maintained, I would think that the South Dakota climate is pretty harsh on the airframes! Michael
