    XV490, coded 'R', 74 Squadron, was scrapped at Wattisham in 1992. The cockpit section went to Bruntingthorpe for the Phantom Preservation Society. XV490 came to Winthorpe in 2011. The aim is to have the restoration completed in time for CockpitFest 2016.
