Although this happend back at the end of November, i just found out yesterday by looking at some pictures of it's maiden flight on the Air Force's image gallery as well as Combat Camera. This flight comes after a very long delay. The initial aircraft were to be delivered to 12 Wing Shearwater in the first quarter of 2009. As of now the Cyclones are not expected to be in service until 2010/2011. The Canadian Forces has 28 helicopters of the kind on order, which will be distributed between 423 Squadron in Shearwater, and 443 Squadron, Patricia's Bay. They are intended to replace the venerable CH-124 Sea King, who has been in the ASW role for 5 decades. Aside from its ASW role the CH-148 will have roles including anti-surface warfare, search and rescue, and troop and cargo transport.

is the big random under the cabin only for the SAW / Anti-Submarine Warfare ???

At which timeline, the customer Sikorsky can deliverd Helicopters for the geramn navy?
