Lately I have had several of my photos denied for contrast issues. This is the response I get when it is denied:

There seems to be a problem with the contrast. Either the contrast is too low, resulting in a rather flat image, or the contrast is too high with a very strong difference between the whites and blacks resulting in a very hard image.


Now, I don't dispute the screener's decision on these shots, and I do my best to correct and re-submit them, but I'm wondering if there is a way to put more information in the response that we are given when a photo is denied. In the case of contrast, I (obviously) have a hard time judging it, and getting this generic response does little to help me to figure out how to fix the problem. I am often times not sure if there is too much contrast, or not enough. I know it would help me personally (and hopefully I'm not the only one) if the screener could tell me which way they would like it to be corrected, so that I know what needs to be done.

Just a thought. I don't mean to complain. Just looking for a little guidance here, so that I can be helped making my pictures better, and in turn, hopefully making this site better as well.
