 I am wanting to submit this picture of SAM 970, the first jet-powered Air Force One. It is parked in the airpark of the Museum of Flight in Seattle. Those who have been there can testify to the fact that it is a pretty tight space, and that the photography angles and opportunities are limited. I truly believe that this is the only side/angle that you can get a full shot of the aircraft from. As you can see though, there is a lightpost right in the middle of the frame. This aircraft is both historically and personally significant. My grandfather worked in Quality Control for Boeing, and actually inspected and signed off on this aircraft when it rolled off the factory floor before final delivery to the USAF. So, my question is, would this photo be rejected because of the lightpost, even though there is no other angle I could shoot the aircraft from? Aaron |

Such an entry may be discussed within the screening team. Considering the prominent location of the light pole the picture is likely to be rejected though.

And Joop would it be rejected if in Photoshop the pole is removed?? (which I have to say is not easy in this case)...

In this case, Photoshopping the pole out would be ok. Unfortunately, we can't accept it as is. We have to live by the rule of "allow one and you have to allow all".
 But, as seen from photos around the web, different angles not showing the light pole are definitely possible to achieve.

Thank's guys. I'm going to go ahead and NOT submit it. I got one of the nose and engines accepted, and that is good enough for me. With the lens that I have, I don't think it is possible for me to get the whole aircraft in the shot without the pole in it, and my PS skills are not good enough to get the pole out, especially with it covering up part of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA script.
