Yes - a very sad event. But WHAT A SHOW !!!!!

With the Withdrawal of the famous Hunterfleet, the biggest military jetfleet in Western Europe was history. With 160 Hunters, 98 F-5 Tiger II, 55 Mirage III (C/DS/S and RS), 250 Venom and up to 221 Vampire - the Swiss Air Force had the biggest fleet of Jet Aircrafts in Europe in the 1970/80's. Venom and Vampire where already out of Service and in 1994 it was time for the famous Hunter.

The Show consisted of a wide variety of Western and Eastern Aircrafts - from American Eagle to Czech Su-22 and from Alouette II up to the mighty Hercules.

Yes the golden times, when we had a real Air Force in Switzerland are gone….
Air94 was a very good airshow, but unfortunately I didn’t made photos, like I do today. In these days I was just watching, enjoing and sometimes making some VHS-movies….

What would I give to go back in those days……………

Greets
Martin

I wish back the good old times, when a picture was a picture and not only bits and bytes and when the people knew the meaning of the word respect. Respect is a very rare thing in our days…
