Hi all

My name is Tony Byrne and I live in Devon. I have had an interest in aviation for many years and served in the Army Air Corps working on the Scout Gazelle and Lynx helicopters.

I have joined the site as I am always on the look out for new subjects to paint as I have developed a love of aviation art and have had some success with commissions in the past.

I work from photos that I taken or from images cleared for me to use from sites like this. Any images I use I obtain permission to use and if I do use them I provide a free print of the painting once completed, and credit is given to the photographer on my web site www.paintsandpixels.co.uk

I do not usually undertake commissions as I am by no means a professional artist and am very much self taught, but will do work for people but working at my own pace.

I donate prints to the main service charities to help them raise funds to support ex serviceman and woman. I recently had a print auctioned for Combat Stress raising £1000 for the charity.

I look forward to chatting with some of you over the coming times and all being well producing some art from your images.
