Due the heavy rain on monday and the melting of the fresh snow from the weekend due to that, the Airshow is cancelled.
Not that you travel from far away - ok, I think you will be arriving in the next hours ... Sorry. Meiringen AB has normal activity from 0800-1800h LT without brakes due the repetition course. And because I'm a grim person  I will show you three pictures of last weeks training ...
EDIT: I was two weeks up there and in the meantime there are some more shots approved by airfighters - enjoy the pics (I don't want to post a new answer, 'cause it's looked upon like too much 'to catch hits'  - edited 27th November 2011

I just received the message this week again and think it's important enough to inform you too:
Axalp Airshow 2014 is also CANCELLED ! Like in 2004, there is again a big airshow held in Payerne for 2014. Very special Airshow in deed - enduring two (2 !!!) Weekends, the first one featuring (mostly) Oldtimers flying and the second one the Modern machines. Air'14, Payerne Airfield, Western Switzerland Date: 30-31 August and 6-7 September 2014 Homepage: www.air14.ch or in english the direct link And due this Big One, there is not much capacity left (budgetary and manhours) to organize the Show on Ebenfluh Range that year. You can go up to the Range beginning in October 'till April anyway for the normal strafing runs due training reasons - but for example no Super Puma and Patrouille Suisse Display up there. And yes - Axalp Airshow 2012 is still on 10./11. Oktober 2012 Muuuuhhh - welcome in the land of milk and chocolate |

Nothing new Sven!
It was to be expected after the cancelling of the 2004 live firering demonstration at the axalp shooting range. As you are writing, the airshow 2014 in Payerne will be very special. The responsible people are talking about many surprises for 2014!! The airshow 2014 in Payerne has one big reason: 100 years of swiss air force! I wish back the good old times, when a picture was a picture and not only bits and bytes and when the people knew the meaning of the word respect. Respect is a very rare thing in our days… |
